Hey, Kids! If you’re a dog lover and need service hours, contact us! We’re flexible and have a variety of different tasks available. Here are some Junior Volunteers who have helped Almost Home.
Alyssa Pittman, one of our junior volunteers, having a wonderful time baking dog cookies for Almost Home to sell during the Worthington Hills Country Club Holiday Boutique. | ..................................................
Mrs. Burger’s fourth grade class at Avery Elementary School in Hilliard, Ohio, decided on their own that they wanted to collect money for AHDRO after they saw a postcard of Molly. For two weeks, the kids did extra work around the house to earn money for Molly, and some of them also gave up their “cookie quarter,” which would usually be used to buy a cookie at lunch; they gave it to Molly instead. Stacey Gallant of AHDRO brought Molly to school to meet the class, and so that they could give Stacey the money they collected for Molly, which totaled $57.61! | ..................................................
Alicia is 12 years old, plays tennis for her middle school, is an avid watcher of Animal Planet, and enjoys grooming and learning about animals. | |
| .................................................. The Lemonade Girls have sold lemonade and cookies in support of Almost Home the last two summers and have contributed over $125.00 to the rescue.
Thanks Lemonade Girls!

A great big THANK YOU! from Almost Home to Ms. Amy Neader's Enrichment Class at Grizzell Middle School, Dublin, Ohio.
The class's assignment was to write an effective advertising campaign for the product they were selling, puppy chow. They made and marketed the puppy chow, and then sold it in the school cafeteria at lunchtime.
The class selected AHDRO as the benefactor of their sales, and presented the rescue with a check for $108.74. | ..................................................
Nate Turner is a freshman in the Olentangy School district. He and his family adopted a gorgeous collie, named Jazz a few years ago from Almost Home.
We all have come to know Nate and appreciate his commitment to animal rescue. He has volunteered his time to help at our Reunion , the Halloween event at Mutts&Company and will be making dog beds with Habitat for Dogmanity with Columbus Dog Connection.
In his spare time, Nate enjoys horseback riding.

Sylvia Sinsabaugh had a lemonade (lemon-aid) sale to help raise money for AHDRO at the rally on July 3rd in Granville.
She and her friends, Theresa, Hannah and Alyssa had a great time helping to make a successful rally.
