The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
Over the past year volunteer members of AHDRO have been working hard on completing the necessary steps to become an approved charitable organization in the CFC. Charities that apply to receive funds through the CFC are required to submit to extensive review of their financial and governance practices prior to acceptance.
Well all of our hard work has finally paid off and we are now listed as an approved charitable organization for the Combined Federal Campaign! What this means is that we can now accept charitable donations via payroll deductions from any federal, civilian, postal or military donors that select AHDRO as their charity of choice.
If you or a federal employee you know want to make a payroll donation to Almost Home, please reference CFC number 46286. Please pass this information onto anyone you know that works for the federal government or uses the CFC to make their charitable contributions.
