Meet Brutus
Description:
Meet Brutus, a sweet dog who was surrendered to an Ohio humane society. While we can’t be sure if he was loved, it’s clear that he had experienced some neglect. When he was picked up from the shelter, he was in bad shape, with ear and eye infections, as well as significant hair loss. Brutus was struggling in the shelter, but Almost Home was contacted and an AHDRO volunteer picked him up just two days later. After a visit to the vet, they discovered that Brutus has a thyroid issue that is now being treated with medication and medicated baths to help with his skin condition. His ear and eye infections have been successfully treated with medication as well.
Now, Brutus is in a Senior2Senior home and thriving. He loves the other animals in the house, but his favorite is his foster mom. He can often be found lying near her, and he wants to follow her wherever she goes. We are hopeful that the thyroid medication will begin to work and that Brutus will get his lovely coat back and lose some of the excess weight. Brutus deserves a loving and caring home where he can continue to thrive. We know that with the right care and attention, he will be a loyal and loving companion for years to come.
