Description:

Benny is an energetic, smart, petite sheltie who is looking for an owner who loves walks as much as he does.  He gets along with other dogs and loves to play with them.  He would really enjoy a fenced in yard because he loves the freedom of running and exploring in it and in winter loves rolling in the snow.  He already knows many commands:  Sit down, stay, shake, kennel and wait.

He is not a velcro dog, knows his own mind and is vocal as most shelties are.   Although many shelties enjoy being held, Benny is happy to keep all 4 feet on the ground. He is housebroken and rides well in a car.  His crate is his safe place. He does not need to be crated, he is trustworthy in the house, but he likes knowing it is available for him to go in and relax. He is independent, attentive and outgoing. He would do best in a home without kids or with kids who are older and “dog savvy”.
