Description:

One look into Foxy’s eyes and you will be smitten. There are untold depths in those dark pools. Foxy came by her name honestly. Look at that beautiful foxlike face. Foxy is still decompressing from her previous life living outside on a porch, so she is still showing her foster who she is and learning about herself as well.

Foxy’s foster mom reports she is very smart and food motivated; therefore, she believes she’ll be easy to train. She is virtually house trained. Her foster mom feels the couple of accidents Foxy has had wouldn’t have happened if she’d had her on a schedule for pottying. The former owner reported Foxy as being crate trained but not liking it. Foxy’s foster says she hasn’t had her crated and hasn’t had any problems when she’s been on her own inside. Foxy does have foster siblings for company, and she loves to play with them but thinks she can be the alpha. She loves meeting people, perhaps a bit too enthusiastically though. She knows how to walk on a leash but needs a bit more practice at it. She absolutely loves being outside in the fenced yard and is now having to truly learn that it is time to come in when called. Foxy cuddles at times and wants her human to show her lots of love.

Foxy has skills, like walking on a leash and coming when called, but they are still needing refinement.  Her foster mom says she is a sheltie in temperament. She thinks she is the alpha and can exhibit high sheltie energy. Perhaps she is a bit headstrong at times. With that said, Foxy is still settling in at her foster mom’s. One thing we know for certain, everyone who has met her has fallen in love with her.  Foxy wants to be loved and is waiting for her forever home.
