Description:

Lake is a beautiful sheltie who is happily learning to be a family dog after some challenging situations in her life. She is amiable and sweet. She loves people, gets along well with other dogs, and reportedly lived with cats before she came to AHDRO. She does take some time to warm up to people; but once she knows you, she loves to cuddle and to hang out in your space with you. Because of her life experiences, she is scared by loud noises and sudden movements, so her adopted family will need to patiently help her reach her full doggie potential. Loving treats will certainly be an asset to help her grow more confident and comfortable. She is already housebroken and is learning that a home and family is a safe and happy place to be.
