Look at this handsome boy! Maverick is a 1-year-old rough collie with a stunning sable and white coat. He can be a bit timid and anxious at times, but he stays calm when he feels comfortable in his environment. He prefers close areas and will happily greet people from this preferred space. His foster family is helping him learn commands, and he’s slowly making progress. Indoors, he prefers to watch the family activities from his favorite spot, and doesn't play very much on his own just yet.
Maverick likes the outdoors, exploring on his own. With encouragement, he enjoys walks with his foster family. He has been introduced to the family dogs and is rather indifferent to them, preferring to spend his time with his humans.
Maverick will thrive in a forever home that can offer continued training, reassurance and, of course, plenty of love. With time, he will continue to grow into the wonderful collie he was destined to be.
