Description:
Ernie is an incredibly handsome, happy “shollie.” There are no clouds on this boy’s horizon—just blue sky ahead. This friendly guy loves meeting new people including kids, especially if it means extra pets, and he thrives on the attention. At home, he happily follows his foster mom around, and if he needs to go in his crate, he’s perfectly content, wagging his tail and taking it all in. He’s been crated when no one is home, and he doesn’t bark or raise a fuss about it. Ernie likes to “take inventory” when he enters a room, curiously checking everything out. If you're sitting down, he’ll zero in on you like a belly-rub-seeking missile, hoping you’ll rub his belly forever. Because of flopping over for belly rubs, he might inadvertently knock little kids down. I think we can say caresses are Ernie’s love language.
He does have a playful quirk: Ernie may help himself to a towel or blanket for a good shake now and then. If that doesn’t win you over, it’s truly the only “negative” in an otherwise incredibly great lad. He plays nicely with his foster dog siblings and amuses himself with his chew bone when on his own. Ernie hasn’t reacted to loud vehicles or barking dogs; nothing fazes him.
Everyone who meets Ernie loves him, and we’re sure you will too. His foster mom says he’s an awesome companion and go-for-walks buddy. If you are looking for a loyal, loving sidekick, Ernie is ready and eager to meet you!
