Description:

Sweet and loving Percy is an adorable Sheltie looking for her forever home. She had a bit of a slow start in life and is happy to be in foster care. Before coming to Almost Home, Percy lived with many dogs and didn’t get much one-on-one attention, so she still has much to learn. Percy is very smart. Her foster family is teaching her basic commands, and she’s already mastered “sit” like a champ!

Percy is curious about toys but hasn’t quite figured them out yet. Don’t worry—she’s eager to learn and absolutely loves attention, so she’ll get the hang of playtime in no time.

She is relatively quiet in the house and loves to snuggle up next to her foster family. She has become very comfortable in her foster home and has even claimed the family’s giant dog bed as her own. She gets along wonderfully with the other pets in the home and even politely tolerates the resident cat.

Percy is house trained and will go into a crate—especially if she can keep an eye on her humans. She enjoys spending time outside, happily sniffing and exploring, but she always stays close and never wanders far.

When meeting new people, Percy greets them with excitement and tail wags. At a recent grooming appointment, she was so relaxed she fell asleep in the tub! The groomers adored her—and we know you will, too.

Percy may need a little extra guidance as she continues to grow and learn, but she’ll reward you every day with her loving heart!
