Cute and cuddly—two words that describe sweet Luna, a tiny sheltie who has adapted well to her foster home. She’s got a fun, high-energy side and loves nothing more than running and playing with her much bigger foster collie siblings, happily exploring the yard and playing chase. Because of her playful spirit, she may do best in a home with another active dog to keep her company.
Luna is quick to dart out doors, but her foster is working with her on the “wait” command. Luckily, she is motivated by treats and is already making great progress, learning commands like “quiet,” “down,” “off” and “stay,” and responding to them more consistently every day.
When meeting new people, her foster mom says Luna can be a bit reserved and curious at first, but she warms up quickly. In the home, if her foster steps into a room Luna can’t have access to, she’ll calmly sit and wait for her to return. When her family comes back after being away, Luna’s excitement shines as she does her enthusiastic “happy dance” from her crate until she can energetically greet them. She even enjoys being held and carried around.
From an active 100 mph to slow-zone cuddling, this darling does it all. With continued guidance, Luna is sure to thrive in her forever home.
