Description:
Chica is a beautiful smooth collie whose personality is the epitome of sweet and gentle. “Calm, quiet and sniffs” describe her interactions with just about everyone, and she will fit easily into a loving forever home. She gets along well with the resident dogs, happily wagging her tail to let them know she’s ready to engage. She’s also calm with cats and children. Although Chica enjoys other dogs, her favorite companions are her people. She’s wisely a little reserved with strangers, but once she gets to know you, she’s happy to cuddle and be petted.
Chica enjoys the outdoors, quickly taking care of “business” before exploring the yard or going after a toy when it’s thrown and she’s told to “get it.” Not all collies play with toys, and even fewer play fetch, but Chica loves it! She also understands “go potty” and “go to crate.” Chica is easygoing and quiet. Even at the age of 8, she’ll surprise you with a delightful burst of zoomies, perhaps just her way of showing us all how happy she is to be alive and spending time with her humans and her canine friends. As her foster has said, “She’s just an awesome dog!”
