Description:
Lacie is sure to melt your heart. She’s a beautiful tri-color sheltie whose stare will penetrate your soul. Lacie loves to be loved. Her foster mom says she can be picked up easily, and she happily cuddles while soaking up long stretches of pets. In fact, being petted is her favorite activity. They’ve also been taking Lacie out on a leash in their fenced yard for frequent walks to help her become comfortable in her new surroundings. Lacie hasn’t shown any interest in other dogs. She might sniff them briefly, but that’s it. When strangers pet her, Lacie stands calmly and allows the attention. She hasn’t found her voice yet — aside from one howl, she hasn’t barked at all.
Lacie is shy and may sometimes run from her fosters, so they consider her a flight risk at this time. Because of this, she would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. Lacie is currently overweight and will benefit from frequent walks as she continues to settle in. This lovely lass will thrive in a calm environment filled with love, tenderness, and patience.
