Description:

Mac is a classic, handsome collie. He is a happy, affectionate boy and is about a year old, so he’s still got that fun puppy energy and a big zest for life. He’s happiest when he has room to run and play, so he’s looking for a home with a fenced yard or someone who enjoys long walks or runs. One of his favorite outside activities is racing around and playing chase with his doggy foster sibling! He’s also very interested in meeting and playing with other dogs.

Mac loves toys and fetch is his jam—he’ll even bring the toy back to you! As a 1-year-old, he still needs durable, fun chew toys such as a Kong but has not chewed inappropriate things in his foster home. Like many pups, he’s not a fan of loud sounds like vacuums or weed whackers, and he will bark at kids zooming by on scooters or bikes.

Mac is a people lover too—he’s especially fond of women, though he warms up to men. Unless he is playing outside, he sticks close to his foster mom. On walks, he happily approaches people to greet them. Mac is already a “sit” pro. He’s just started puppy school and, thanks to his eagerness to please and love of treats, we think he will add to his repertoire quickly.

He is curious and enjoys attention, and Mac would love it if someone in his forever family was home a lot of the time. He is crate trained, but it’s not his favorite place, and he’ll let you know how he feels about it. Mac will also use his voice to talk to you and alert you to anyone near the front door. He loves car rides, walks and snuggling on the sofa to give kisses. This charming boy is wondering if you might be his forever family.
