Description:
Maddie is a 1-year-old sheltie/collie mix that absolutely loves to run. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and seems to prefer canine friends close to her size with a compatible play style. One of her favorite games is chasing a ball, then trotting around with it while her canine pals chase her right back! She’s fast as lightning and full of life, enjoying her new surroundings. Maddie can be intimidated by over-the-top dogs, so a meet-and-greet will be needed to ensure her comfort level. No need to worry about cats; she barely pays attention to them.
Her foster family says Maddie is very eager to learn anything new and is highly motivated by food and treats. She has made great progress on her walks and is becoming more confident on the leash every day. Like any typical young dog, she would do best with an active family committed to training, playing and keeping her busy. A fenced-in yard is not needed as long as she gets regular exercise and outside time.
A real sweet girl at heart, Maddie is a fun, playful pup who will make a great addition to her forever home.
